Waveforms & measurements

What are the a, c, x, x′, v and y features?

Use the paused atrial/wedge trace to connect atrial activity with valve and filling events.

Overview

The atrial and wedge inspectors label modeled pressure rises and descents through the cardiac cycle. The displayed explanation depends on the selected rhythm and disease, including absent organized atrial activity and regurgitant systolic waves.

RA and wedge are not interchangeable signals. Wedge is a delayed LA-pressure proxy, and a large v wave can alter its peak and mean without implying that LVEDP equals the v-wave peak.

Use the synchronized ECG for timing and the related pressure channels for context. The simplified synthetic wave shapes do not reproduce every catheter artifact or every clinical atrial waveform.
