Rhythms

Non-Sustained Ventricular Tachycardia · Sinus Baseline

Sinus rhythm with self-terminating runs of 15–20 ventricular beats. Rate control sets the baseline rate; VT is 180–240 bpm. Forward stroke volume and arterial/pleth pulses fall during each burst. Amiodarone, lidocaine or metoprolol suppress the runs in this selected teaching response; clinical efficacy is context dependent and no drug kinetics are simulated.

Overview

Open Clinical controls → Baseline vitals → Rhythm and choose Non-Sustained Ventricular Tachycardia · Sinus Baseline. The rate and atrial/ventricular timing follow this rhythm’s model.

The disease state remains active. Disease morphology, treatment and temporary pacing can modify the displayed result; use the effective rate and the current twelve-lead read.

Step by step

  1. Select the rhythm, then adjust Ventricular rate if required.
  2. Compare Lead II, V1 and the arterial pulse.
  3. Open 12-lead ECG; use Variant or Next variant, then Pause → Interpretation.
