Overview
Temporary pacing is in the Electricity group. Its choices are Off, 45, 60, 80, 100 and 120 bpm. The model assumes reliable ventricular demand capture.
If intrinsic ventricular activity is faster than the chosen pacing rate, pacing may not take over. A pacing intervention does not restore coordinated atrial activity in AF and does not treat VF.
When active capture occurs, telemetry and twelve leads show the paced ventricular pattern, hemodynamics respond to the effective rate, and the echo schematic shows a lead. Capture threshold, sensing failure, fusion and procedural complications are not modeled.
