Waveforms & measurements

How do I inspect an individual waveform segment?

Pause, then point at the trace location you want explained.

Overview

Pause the monitor and move the arrow pointer over a hemodynamic trace, including cases in The Lab and Academic Halfday. The inspector identifies the segment at the held time and explains the revealed physiology. Mean-only data are not given invented wave labels.

An absent organized atrial contraction should not be explained as a normal a wave. Regurgitant waves, valve closure, filling, ejection and special pullback findings are interpreted in their current context.

The explanation is placed separately from the sampled wave. On touch devices, use the available tap/focus controls and keep the relevant trace in view. Close a help panel before selecting a control underneath it.
