Waveforms & measurements

Why does each pressure tracing have its own scale?

Dynamic vertical scales keep the full waveform visible.

Overview

Each pressure channel uses a labeled vertical scale chosen for its current waveform. A small filling-pressure signal can therefore be visible beside a much larger ventricular or arterial signal.

Do not compare the pixel height of two channels as if they shared a pressure scale. Compare their labels and numbers. ECG channels use ECG gain conventions rather than pressure units.

The default time window is 6 seconds. The display-time control changes the horizontal span; it does not change heart rate. In the 12-lead view, use Auto, Standard or Half gain when appropriate.
