Overview
IABP is in the Mechanical support group. Choose Off, 1:1, 1:2 or 1:3 to select the assisted-beat ratio. The timing control becomes relevant when the pump is active.
The model changes augmented aortic pressure and the linked unloading/hemodynamic response. Additional balloon traces can be shown in Traces, and the CXR schematic adds a position cue.
The pump is not a continuous-flow device. Compare assisted and unassisted beats, and inspect the timing on pause. Significant AR remains a dangerous-use example.
