Overview
Mechanical support contains V-A ECMO, Impella 2.5, Impella CP and Impella 5.0. The selector uses illustrative flow targets in L/min, not device-console P-levels or guaranteed clinical flows.
The summary separates native heart and device contributions. Device flow is limited by filling, pressure head and selected valve severity. Mild stenosis does not inherit the severe lesion’s full obstruction penalty. Significant aortic regurgitation reduces useful forward support through recirculation and can worsen LV loading. Displayed effective flow is illustrative, not a manufacturer pump curve.
